The 2.5” impact-extruded 6061-T6 aluminum body features a Type II anodized finish for superior heat dissipation and corrosion resistance, while the internal floating piston (IFP) separates shock oil from high-pressure nitrogen to maintain consistent damping. Fox’s Hydraulic Top-Out (HTO) technology adds position-sensitive rebound control by slowing shaft speed at full extension—reducing harsh top-out and improving overall ride comfort. This is especially beneficial for trucks running heavier tires or operating near the upper end of the lift range.
