Why You Need Adjustable Radius Arms at 8"+

Ford’s solid front axle has no factory caster adjustment. At stock height this isn’t an issue — but once you add significant lift, caster is dramatically reduced and the axle shifts forward out of center. At 8"–13" of lift, the symptoms become serious:

• Severe steering wander at highway speeds
• Loss of steering returnability — the wheel won’t self-center
• Heavy tire rub when turning — especially with larger tires
• Axle shift — the front axle moves forward and sits off-center in the fender wells
• Accelerated and uneven front tire wear

Adjustable radius arms are the correct fix — not a workaround. They allow you to re-establish proper caster angle and re-center the axle, something cam bolts alone cannot address at this lift height. Wider wheels with aggressive offset will feel the effects of poor caster even more, making this upgrade critical for any serious build.
